When were the £6,000 and £16,000 limits introduced?

As above, just curious really I'm sure it was quite a long time ago and they have never been upgraded in line with inflation

Off the top of my head - 2006? Maybe a year either way of that.0

the 6k used to be 3k going back around 10? years i think the 16k was at that time 12k0

For working age benefits it was £8k, was aligned with HB around 20060
