it's pretty even though. It's not like either one is way ahead. It's a bit of a tricky question though, as others have pointed out.
It depends whether it's something you don't really care about, or something you do have strong beliefs about. So I would say the poll results don't really mean much for that reason!Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Very true, I'm a vegetarian like Sacre Bleu but not in the slightest bit interested in football.
To me it is a daft question because it really would depend what the organisation was.If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.

Depends on 'who' the card was with - another football team I could handle, as the financial benefit would be good for me, and I just wouldn't be seen out with it! But something like 'The league against cruel sports' would be a definate no no, whatever the financial benefit for me.
It's definately a question of morality with regards to the company....

I've not voted, the league against cruel sports would be a definite yes yes for me but the master of the hunt would be a no no.
The football club example is ridiculous, if England and Iceland were in the World Cup Final (ridiculous hypothetical example... England would never make it!!! HA!!!) would everyone refuse to open Icesave accounts because it was a rival company?

Absolutely not.
Huge Chelsea fan. Changed my mobile subscription when O2 sponsored Arsenal. Me and OH both have Samsung phones as they sponsor Chelsea.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
yes i would provided that i could undermine them/their partners by using the deal - so getting the cashback without incurring any costs/using the 0% and then b*ggering off. it's not a mercinary thing - it's about undermining the enemy/g**ners.

If I knew how they benefited from the card and could use it in a way that they wouldn't benefit (i.e. no sign up benefit, benefit only on balance transfers or purchases, not both) I would signup and use it in a way that didn't make them money, then I'd have it regardless of who it was with.

Poll Started 12 June 2007:
There's a best credit card on the market (head and shoulders above all others) which pays the most cashback for those who are debt free, and has the best balance transfer deal for those in debt.
Yet it's branded (and a tiny amount of cash benefits) with your favourite football team's rival/The Masters of Foxhounds Association/The League Against Cruel Sports (whichever one you find most distasteful).
Would you still apply for the card?
A. Absolutely - 53%
B. No Way - 47%
