Need help with what i might or might not get

Hi everyone been using this forum for many years and found it very useful!

Just need some advice if possible...

Ok... right im a 25 year old guy been in full time employment ever since i left school i currently earn £45,000 a year my wage is made up of a £20,000 basic the rest is commision..

My other half is 23 and also employed full time she has also been in full time employment since leaving school and earns around £20,000 this is made up of a £10,000 basic and the rest commision..

Now we are expecting a baby and are just woundering would we be entitled to get any state benefits??

when the baby arrives she will be taking a year off and then going back to work, but i believe she will be payed 6 months of her basic wage...

Any help or advice would be great..

Thanks
C

I was just interested in what we could expect...!

I guess that will pay for a takeaway a week :) haha just kidding
    Thanks
  • Once your salary gets to £50k you will start to loose Child Benefit. Once you hit £60k you then get FA.

You can start saving childcare vouchers now though, up to £124pm tax free.
  • Ok great thanks for the info...

My salary changes year on year on my last p60 it was £45k and the one before was £57k...

It's next to nothing anyway so ill just forget about any kinds of benefits

    Cheers
