Lloyds - ID Aware reclaim success

I have just been told by Lloyds that they will pay back all of the fees (plus interest) paid for an ID Aware account that was set up three years ago.
I called them and said that I thought this was an un-necessary policy/service and not worth the £6.30 a month that was being paid for it. They couldn't see how it was sold originally and agreed to pay all the money back.
ID Aware monitors your credit status and will help you if your identity has been stolen. Arguable not worth the money - if you really wanted this service there are cheaper ways of doing it.
This could easily be another case of mis-selling an expensive and not really necessary service.

LloydsTSB sold me ID Aware too and having read about the recent articles about mis sold CPI I realise it was mis sold to me as well. how did you go about reclaiming your fees? Did you write to them or did you just ring them. Not sure how to go about reclaiming.0

I just telephoned them, had a chat with one of their customer services people and she agreed that they would pay back the money. Very simple. She found the details quickly and was able to calculate how much had been spent on the account since it was taken out.0

Mum 91 years old been signed up for this ID Aware not really knowing what it is she has not ever owned and is incapable of using a computer and wouldn't know a text message if it jumped out and bit her!!
Don't know how long she has had this but I can feel a compensation claim for mis-selling recently had to sort out an Internet Saver account that they had opened for her .... how do they manage that with a person who has no computer or any form of internet access0 -

Was the Internet Saver one of the account which could only be opened through Internet Banking?
Are you sure something a little more sinister isn't going on here?0
