It needs to be remembered that if you get a portion of his forces pension then there is absolutely nothing that you can do with it apart from get a pension at your retirement point even though he may already be receiving it. You can not cash it in or transfer it to another pension scheme.

Thanks all. I think I am going to open up a thread asking about the pension stuff specifically because I have the figures now but just need to make sure I am making the right decisions.
