Showerforce easiboost pump replacement hoses.

Hi
My shower pump HW outlet flexible hose has broken and i need a new one.
They sell the direct replacement for about £45 for the full set of 4.
Is there any reason why i can not replace it with just a metal braided standard flexible hose?
The only difference i can see on the hoses is at the screw end of the hose that attaches to the pump there is a slight ridge on the original one.
Any advice would be great as i would prefer just to buy one pipe for about £8
