Northern Rock shares help needed

My husband worked for NR until April this year and just weeks before he left he was awarded employee shares worth about 2k. He has the letter confirming that he was awarded them but doesn't have the reference number so we can sell them.

He's rang them about 20 times since he left and we've written to them asking for it and they just keep saying they will send it out. We really need this reference. What else can we do?

Have you tried writing to C Taylor (not sure whether Mr or Mrs) Company Secretary at NR.

Has he ever receive a share certificate or are the shares held in Crest (electronic form)?
Did he leave through retirement or redundancy? If not the bank I work for would take shares OFF me unless they had been held for 5 years
