in Techie Stuff
Ive been looking on ebay and there seems to be some pretty decent priced camcorders about but Im so confused???? I havent had one for years as my kids are grown up now but my grandchild is due any day now so wanted to get another one. Something easy to use, dont need a lot of gadgets but good quality footage. I have been looking at the dvd ones but did a search on here and it seems they arent all they are cracked up to be. Can anyone help, vhs, 8mm, dvd????? I am a very confused lady????

I have a mini DV and am very happy with it. You can record onto computer or onto DVD (or hard disk if you have it!). DVD ones are not great yet, apparently all you have to do is knock it and the heads are out of alignment (something like that!). VHS are cumbersome, 8mm we had before and was OK but prefer the mini DV.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

If you go to the AVForums website you will find a wealth of info, and you can ask questions if you are not sure. There are plenty of knowledgeable people on here of course, but the other site is more specialised in the sort of info that you are looking for.0
