Hi all,
I have just had my new bay windows fitted, wow it looks so nice going from skanky wooden single glazed with granny curtains tacked in, to white upvc double glazed bare
Now I have the problem of finding blinds to fit.
205cm in height, middle window 100cm wide, side windows 40cm wide
And cheapness! I.e. my bedroom ones spent £25 and lounge curtains same height spent £40
Dunelm Mill or Ikea don't do them long enough, nor Homebase or anywhere else I can see. Does anyone have any ideas?
Also, thinking of getting some privacy window film like this.
Has anyone had any experience of buying/using this?

I have absolutely no sewing ability, still get my nan to do my mending and have never used a sewing machine

A couple of Ikea's blinds go up to 250cm drop - depends what sort of style you want.

Have you not tried a local blinds dealer?
I had vertical blinds done for my whole house, large bay window with 80'' drop and 3 sash windows and they only came to £90 inc fitting.Mine was from a co in Liverpool, 1/2 hour away/
Why deal with the internet guys when you can get them made cheaper local? Just look around, you will find someone0 -
At These prices you will get what you pay for.... ie cheap crap...
minimum you should be looking at for semi decent roller or vertical is £180 ish0 -

With investing £30k on my house, I wouldn't say that I used cheap crap, They are good quality, from a small family business and do the job very well.
Maybe they are ok with making a lot less margin and passing the savings onto their customer, They also do a hell of a lot of commercial work, I wouldn't think commercial premises would use chep tat, it is not viable to do that.0 -
