British Gas and the Wrong Address
I received a letter from British Gas concerning meter replacement for my upstairs neighbour's account. I live at number 9, the customer is 9A . I thought that they 'd updated their records when I told them about the mistaken address 18 months ago, but apparently not. I tried phoning British Gas again today but the customer service agent just told me to take the letter to my neighbour, and could not seem to understand giving him the letter when it has my address on it will not help the engineer change the meter if he comes to the wrong flat! I am not a British Gas customer, how do I inform the meter reading department that they have the wrong address? I tried using the "contact us" page on their website but it wouldn't let me send the enquiry because I couldn't fill in a Customer Number.
