Barclaycard put a 'block' on account? missed minimum payment.

Barclaycard put a temporary block on the card (no funds can be taken out)

as a minimum payment was missed.

If this is paid again (it has been nearly 2 weeks after the missed payment date)

if it is paid again now in the branch, and they receive it, will they remove the block on the card, to allow access to the funds?

has this happened to you with barclaycard ?

Maybe..they might not release the block until next month.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • Normally they will let you access the account but I would not be surprised to see your limit reduced to that of the outstanding debt.
  • Would it be pedantic to say that what you are actually looking for is access to more credit, and not actually access to funds?

    Call barclaycard and ask them.
