Hi,
We are waiting to exchange contracts and our solicitor has asked us to transfer the funds for our deposit to them.
But what happens if the sale for the house we're buying was to suddenly fall through before we exchange contracts? The solicitor gives us our money back, right?

Out of interest, how did you expect your solicitor to pay the deposit on Exchange unless you transfer the funds to him in advance....?0
