Grrrrrrrrr Vax

I purchased some cleaning solution direct from the Vax website aprox 2 weeks ago on a standard 3-5 working day delivery. After the 5 working days were up I contacted them and they said it was dispatched that day. A couple of days later and still no delivery, so called again for them to say it hadn't been sent but it will now be sent as priority. I phoned the next day to ensure it had been sent, but no, was told it wasn't even picked yet! So I asked for a refund, no problem they said, it will take up to 28 days!!!!
And to think we were about to spend £200 on a new carpet washer for them!
Email sent to MD Mr David Winterbottom and now trying to compare the many different Bissell models as to which one suits our needs the most!

I understand your frustration with VAX. It's the lying that gets you down.

I ended up changing to a Black & Decker steam mop.

Yep, had to wait 8 minutes on the phone to get through to someone this morning, seems to me they will say anything to get you off the phone. Come to think of it there was no apology and why it takes 28 days to refund me when I never received the goods I ordered I don't know. They even stated they were never picked up by the courier, so not as if they have to wait for the goods to be returned.

My Vax is wonderful and around 15 yrs old but I would never bother with their shampoo. Astonish is £1 or less a bottle, smells lovely and cleans brilliantly, can be used with any shampooer.

Have you found any product that will clean grout lines as well as it does tiles?

My grout lines had a sealant protector put on them when the tiles were laid but it doesn't work. The tiles look nice and clean but the grout looks dirty.

I can't get down on my hands and knees to scrub the grout lines and my steam mop doesn't make any impact.

  • Well done Vax :T
Had a reply from my email to Mr Winterbottom, it was from someone else but still happy at the result.
Firstly had a detailed apology of what possibly went wrong, the refund was done straight away and is back in my account today. My original order is being resent free of charge.
Plus I have been given a discount code for £50 off any product on their site.

My faith has been restored :j
