106 1.5 Diesel Keeps Snapping Downpipes
Comments
-
The downpipe has a section that bolts to the engine to support it. That's the bolt that loosens itself after a few days of town driving, regardless of how much it's tightened. It seems the vibrations are shaking it lose.
I'm quite sure all the other exhaust mounts / rubbers are as they should be but i'll check to make 100% sure then post back with findings.
Plans at this stage are fit one of the repaired downpipes (got a friend to perform a repair on one of the fractured ones)
Inspect all mounts / exhaust rubbers properly visually
Put locking washer & nylock nut on he bolt that keeps loosening itself. All your base are belong to us.0
