    Aww slinky, your poor cat. Hope Lottie protects Morris. Do seem to get a lot of cats in my garden, most nicking Lot-Lot's food! Will go with instincts, I think. Garden's fairly enclosed and not big, so should be able to contain him if he does venture out!

    I think you should 'play it by ear' - but, I am a believer in letting animals sort out their own 'pecking order'.
    for the first night then yes keep the new arrival confined - but, I honestly think more than a day or two confined to one room is silly. they need to explore and if they come across the resident cat? then they will be told their place in the house!
