Original price of the printer was £399.00, and its 1.5 years old so I sold for less than half price. Its discontinued model.
My advice is that you never ever buy HP printers. If the customer did little a research he could find that cartridges would cost more than he paid for printer. HP was sued in USA for seting up their printers with smart chips which recognise non branded products and even can refuse cartridges that are 12 month old.
Would it be a problem to relist this item? Shoudl I withhold money for listing fees?
Or maybe should I definately wait when he askes for refund?

Den, I didn't realise we were talking about a £400 printer. As you said, If he'd have done his research, he would have known the cost of the cartridge - he probably does!

You've also said that others sold for more, so that would ring alarm bells - the fact of the matter is that it works perfectly and it would appear you never saw the error message on your PC - therefore you sold it in good faith.

I think I'd wait for him to come back and ask for a refund - if he does, it's your decision, but the printer without a cartridge will be worthless. He probably won't come back - so no worries.
How can an item, that sells at auction, for .... Quote .... "less than other people got" .... Possibly be overpriced?
What I meant was that it would be overpriced if the reason it reached a high price was a mis description

I dont think you are responsble for the price of the ink. When you buty a printer in a shop you cant take it back cos the ink is too dear ! The idea is that you sell it in the condition you described which it is. The ink is not in my opinion part of the deal it is the printer you sold.
