I have told my seller and his EA that I would like all his stuff to be moved out ,
why should anyone have to have the hassle of sorting someone's rubbish,
Because you want the house and the seller decides what is left at the property. The buyer decides whether they agree with the purchase.
Basically, it's my house, you can take it or leave it, it's a rising market (at least for the next 18 months), I'm not making anyone buy it. I'm going to be buying a couple of properties soon, I don't care what is left, a man and a van comes quite cheap, especially if you manage to get the property at a good price.0 -
Gawd, I'm old enough (I'm only 48) to remember the days when you negotiated on the carpets and curtains being left and if they didn't pay, people actually took the carpet.
Now, if I'm selling a property, I want to leave everything. In fact I'd be stating that the buyer has to except all the stuff is included and it is his responsibility to get a van to take the stuff down the dump that he doesn't want.
People still take carpets, etc sometimes!
Have read it on here several times where they've tried to charge buyers for them!

Like I've said, it was the norm when I was younger, you negotiated extra for the carpet and curtains. But it costs time and money to pull up the carpet and what they hell are you going to do with it on your new property, same with the curtains.
Anyway, I'm alright, I've got a mate that owns a carpet shop, so I get it at cost plus paying the fitter. I always like ringing him up, and him saying, hello the carpet shop, to which I say, do you sell carpets? Yes, I know it is childish but it still amuses my tiny mind.0
