Oh dear sounds like he didn't want you to go to work. His very own version of chaining himself to the railings in protest
Hope he and the wallpaper survived unscathed while you were out

I've spent nearly all day doing stuff. Not sure what exactly I've done but I've done plenty of it a whole day's worth in fact. It didn't include the ironing, it didn't include housework, but huge amounts of stuff have been done....:rotfl:
In other news....Colin has left the cat cave. He has discovered that the chimney needs sweeping and that he doesn't like being bathed. He has discovered if you stick your paw down the gap between the cushions on the sofa that your paw gets stuck. He has discovered that if you go into an open cupboard in the kitchen, the sort of cupboard that goes back a long way, you get shut in. And he has discovered that books make a very scary crash when you knock them off the shelf.
Hmmm, that's the stuff I've been doing all day, sorting out Colin stuff!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I think it's more that he's come out of the cat cave and is investigating absolutely everything. Clearing soot up was not one of the things I had planned.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

That's it, last shift at the coffee shop done and dusted. I'm not going to miss all the b*tching and back-stabbing that's for sure. I did come home with 14 bananas that no-one else wanted, the skins were slightly split so couldn't be sold. Banana cake for the freezer tomorrow and banana in my porridge for the rest of the week!
One of the mats I ordered still hasn't arrived. I chased it up on Friday to be told it had been dispatched. One wonders why they didn't put them in the same package...
I'll be on evenings for the rest of the week, so I best enjoy relaxing tonight in front of the television whilst finishing off the bottle of wine :beer:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

A huge sigh of relief at the end of the coffee shop. Enjoy that wine - you can truly relax now that everything is settling into place.0

Great news that the coffee shop is now an ex job, free bananas are pretty good though.
Back in the dim and distance days when first OH and I married we lived in a large two storey flat where the only heating was an open fire. Our cat, predominantly white with black splodges, was regularly found to have spent the early morning hours curled up in the fireplace in the still warm embers, thus becoming a smokey grey cat with black patches! A spark guard put the end to that little habit, although I did feel guilty as it was flippin cold in there. I was thinking of her this morning when decorating the Christmas tree, she used to bat the choccie decorations off with her paw and then take them behind the settee to remove the foil and eat them. She has not lived in this world for c30 years, but she was such a character and I think of her often. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I am seeing a whole new side to cats - Colin - does make me laugh. hopefully he has settled now? You must be a bit worried about him.
Glad to hear you packed in the coffee shop job. From what I have read its not a good place to be if you dont have to be - but I understand needs must. I remember once having 3 jobs on the go to get by. Hopefully now you will have more time to spend doing things you enjoy.0 -
