Congratulations Piq, I seem to have missed your debt and mortgage freedom whilst I was awol having the little lady xxx
Having a baby excuses you from most things :rotfl:Have you surfaced yet?Oh great news, Piq - am so glad to read Captain will soon be arriving at his new home, and bringing his friend too!
You sound very well prepared..
I do seem to be organised on it all, it's something that I feared would never happen so it's very exciting and daunting at the same time. The responsibility for two horses is immense, hence the organisingHave you told Colin yet!!:rotfl:
My cat years ago loved to get in the stable with the horse, and snuggle up in the hay or straw.
Hope it all goes well with the move back

Captain and Noah would be pointing out a mouse in the manger with their ears and Colin would be watching their ears flicking instead...
Come now, poor Colin will be terrified:rotfl:Just wait until Roger the rooster challenges him  Colin is going to run a mile in a very wobbly fashion! You've got it right on the ear flicking and watching. The only mouse Colin ever gets is another cat's leftover. Which is why he was playing with a mouse with rigor mortis the other day...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Evening shifts this week
However, I have booked a blood test, blood pressure test and a plumber. I hasten to add the plumber has nothing to do with my waterworks, all okay there, he's coming to install an outside tap on Thursday. There's not much point in starting up a new garden with no way of watering it. I'm already bored with filling the washing up bowl to water the pots that came here with me
A NSD today. Dinner will be had at work, therefore free. Lunch from the freezer, homemade soup. I've moved 2.91 and 5.49 across to savings, that being savings from padlock buying yesterday and the daily tidy up of the account. It effortlessly saves money doing a bank tidy up everyday. I've put away over 500.00 without trying this year already. I used to do it to pay off my debts now it goes away for me! I also put away my overdraft fee and feel quite smug about it, the bank no longer gets 20.00 a month!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I got called back to the doctors as my DIY blood pressure test was too high. Funnily enough once the stress of not having to do it my self was removed my blood pressure was normal!
Friday is blood test day and I'm going to have to fast for eleven hours:eek: I may be missing awhile......Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

DIY BP testing is *supposed* to remove the stress!!! Hmm - don't think so. Good luck with the 11 hour fasting - the thought of it makes me feel malnourished! (I'm not, by the way!!)
Anyway, it's all good to get done and you will be fully fit for horsey duties. Oh dear, poor Colin will miss having your undivided attention.0 -
I don't have to fast until eleven tonight. Plenty of time to eat yet :rotfl:
The two outside taps were fitted today £150 later I can't find the hose. It must have got left behind in the move

£150 for two taps? Wow, sounds like he didn't give you a second tap discount! Mine - singular - cost £63 three years ago; I was told he charged more than most would, but also guaranteed his work.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
