Submitting Last Meter Readings?
Comments

No it is not necessary to ring EDF, your new supplier does that for you and gives them the readings.
You may however get a letter/email from EDF asking you to contact them with the readings, you can safely disregard that as all it is is a means of trying to get you to cancel the switch and stay with them.0 -

Yes, send your meter reading(s) to EDF.
What tends to happen is the new supplier (SP in your case) invents meter readings and uses them instead of yours.
Under Standard Licence Condition 21B, the suppliers must use meter readings given or query them if they suspect they are not accurate.
If they make up meter readings, complain and bring your issue to the ombudsman for poor service & avoidable inconvenience if necessary. Take it to ofgem separately.0 -
