Cashback cards for those without perfect history?

...BR on my file from 2008, defaults are starting to drop off already and I'll be squeaky in April next year.

I have:

Full barclays current account with £500 OD
Flybe card £1900
Creation card £6500
Capital One card £3000
YBS Mortgage

..no cards hold a balance, never used the OD.

Anyone? I used the Barclays online checker tool and it said I had a very good chance of their cashback card but I got a decline - worth applying elsewhere?

Cheers!

Obviously the bankrupcy is an issue, but it could also be that you have a lot of credit available, whether used or not, compared to your salary.

I.E. say you earnt £15k a year, then 11k + of credit available to you, is a very high amount.

Having a lot of credit available, compared to salary doesn't affect everybody, but I would think it would affect someone who doesn't have a squeeky clean credit file.

Ring Capital One and Barclays and ask if they'd switch you to a cashback product.
