Change to Aqua full direct debit collection process?

Hi all,
Every month, Aqua has taken the full statement balance owed by direct debit irrespective of any payments I have made. Today they have taken £88 of the £138 statement balance, which I assume is becsuse I have previously made £50 of payments since my last statement.
When did Aqua change how they collect direct debits? I've not seen anything related to this matter.

It's happened to me in the last two statement periods. Nobody has seen anything official or had notification from them, but it's been mentioned on the main Aqua thread a few times.0

It seems to have changed since they launched the new website where you had to recreate your login details. Maybe that was the launch of the new platform?0

Cheers guys. This is the first time it has happened but I make regular repayments between statements (thanks to a £250 limit).0
