    Afternoon all,
Really busy, productive morning here. Kitchen looks like bombsite.
    So far today, I have:
*Picked peas & fresh herbs, pulled the last of the carrots, picked another 2kg tomatoes & rounded up all the windfall apples.
*Got a nice chunky beef stew going in the slow cooker. Will freeze it, take out of freezer on morning we set off for camping break & it can defrost on route to provide a hearty warming meal on our first night. (It may keep us out of the pub!)
*Skinned & whizzed up more of our home grown tomatoes in the food pro for freezing.
*Chopped up all the windfall apples & made apple & ginger chutney. That's just been bottled - recycled jars of course - I don't think I'd be physically capable these days of going in a shop & paying money for jars.
*Veggies all chopped for tonight's meal - chicken & veg curry, using the last of the rubber chicken & the curry sauce I batch-cooked the other week.
*Used the last of the chicken stock I made on Mon & another wodge of tomatoes to make lentil & tomato soup. That will be frozen for lunch next week when I have family coming over.
    Still to do:
*Clear up kitchen or face becoming a missing person under all the rubble & detritus of this morning's efforts.
*Sewing job: See if I can successfully use a cream throw (which I don't use) to add an additional layer of insulation to a door curtain. I want to keep the curtain as it's a piece of shabby chic vintage loveliness, but it goes over a doorway where there is no actual door & is a wind tunnel for draughts. Think it might work - intend to put on free podcast & see what I can do.
*Tonight: Make list of pre-camping trip jobs. I don't want to find there is stuff we have to buy (expensively) while we're there, because we haven't planned properly.
That's me for today. Keep your mitts on your money, everyone.

    The List:

:staradmin Tended back garden after doing front garden. Harvested all the broad beans.

:staradmin Went to secure the back on our tv unit with a couple of nails as it was coming off and found it covered in mildew. Cleaned it off. Unfortunately our last flat wasn't watertight and every so often another pocket of mildew springs up in our home from furniture we've kept.

:staradmin Adding blackberries to victoria sponge later to make polkadot sponge.

:staradmin Discovered source of wasps;neighbours eaves. Hopefully she'll take some action on this given that half the neighbourhood have been stung.

:staradmin Told neighbour about HMRC Uniform Tax Rebate. Read this link if you wear a uniform to work and haven't made a claim yet. (Link) Trying to "build bridges" with said neighbour. OH has at least decided to start talking to him again which is progress.
    I hate dis-harmony!

    :staradmin Washing out on whirligig.

:staradmin Bleed radiators if radiator key arrives in the post. Yay! Fixed it.

    :staradmin
Got out wee steam cleaner to clean back door area.

:staradmin Using up trial size toothpaste tubes before opening up new one.

Ooooooh, the stew for freezing to take camping was sufficient to do a hefty extra portion too. Stew is very useful leverage for mr f, who is very good at doing jobs, but even better at doing them if the thought of a big bowl of stew can be planted in his mind before seeing if he might like to mow the lawn, dig the raised beds, turn the compost heaps, de-spider the house, etc.
