Help and advice needed
We have just moved into a domestic dwelling house property which has two gas meters and two electricity meters - it was once a long time ago two flats which explains why this is the case.
Consequently I am paying four sets of standing charges i.e. a standing charge for each meter, which is a situation I want to reverse if possible.
Rewiring and re plumbing the four meters to change this so that the supply enters the house through only two meters would be difficult and Is cost prohibitive, and I am aware there are tariffs which do not have standing charges within them but the rate per unit is higher so any potential saving on my part would be largely negated.
My pleas to Scottish Power have fallen on deaf ears - any suggestions regarding any other options please?

First of all, is this your property, or is it rented?
If it's rented, then you should speak to your LL about any desired changes, and then if the LL agrees it'll be up to him to get it changed
(But presumably you looked at the property before accepting it and took it 'as is')
If it's your property, then the supplier may insist on only having one supply per fuel.
How is it cost prohibitive? What cost has been quoted? How many quotes have you had? What is involved in that cost?
You will be investing in the property and will save the standing charges you are otherwise paying.0
