Homebuyer survey vs structural survey?

I'm deciding between a homebuyers survey and a structural survey.
Does a structural survey include everything that is done in a homebuyers survey plus structural stuff or is it something separate?

http://www.rics.org/uk/knowledge/more-services/guides-advice/home-surveys/ for the RICS surveys. Note that the most comprehensive one doesn't automatically include a valuation.
A structural survey isn't necessarily the same thing as one of the RICS surveys, though. It's conducted by a structural engineer, which is a different profession.0 -
Is it a flat or house?

I'd probably only go homebuyer's in a 6 year old house. At the end of the day, it's what you feel happier with.
Maybe compare prices and take it from there. Remember, you may get a better offer on a homebuyer's from your mortgage provider. Doubt they'll offer a FSS.
