reconsiderations

Hi
Can anyone tell me if you write to dwp asking for re consideration on the decision to put someone in esa wrag group,if your un successful do stay in that group? A friend has asked me if she does this and looses so to speak do they just keep her in the wrag. I know about the descriptors etc but dont know about this and she was going to do this before considering an appeal. Thanks for any help

In principle, a reconsideration can make any decision open to the original decision-maker.
This includes finding that the decision was in error, and the claimant is not entitled to ESA at all.
Sending as much relevant evidence as you can is the best plan.
And carefully consider which support group descriptor they meet - and point this out with evidence.
