Oh great site!Use your stuff challenge 50/500

I could spend way too much time on that site! (lol).
My own craft fail was something I found on pinterest and just 'had' to try.
The Instructions said:
Directions:
1. Cut a glow stick and shake the contents into a jar. Add diamond glitter
2. Seal the top with a lid.
3. Shake.
I searched the shops for glow in the dark bracelets; found a pack of ten. Took two of them and cut off the ends then emptied the contents of the bracelets into an empty glass jar. Added glitter. Closed the lid and shook the living daylights out of the darn thing.
The instructions promised me a wonderful jar of something magical which looked like fairies and fire-fly's all dancing around and twinkling merrily.
What I got was the biggest mess of all time.
I ended up with a large jam jar with streaks and blobs of disgusting looking mess which wouldn't enchant even the youngest of fairy believers. Oh ... and those instructions didn't tell me that the liquid inside is toxic, nor did they mention that there is a length of glass tube inside the bracelets - which is what you 'crack' when you make the bracelets glow in the dark, but this glass pops out of the bracelet when you empty the contents ... and you've then got to get it out of the glass jar and dispose of it carefully.
Don't be fooled by the pretty jar of lights in that photograph above. That's not what you're going to get for all your trouble.Remember: however thin you slice something, there are always two sides to everything.0 -

Craft fail version of the fairy jar (they reckon the original photo was faked with a photoshop filter). Even worse than your descriptions.

Loving this thread. (It's fast becoming my guilty pleasure).
The reason I don't have any photo's of my craft fails is because I live by my saying of many years experience ....... If at first you don't succeed ...
DESTROY ALL EVIDENCE THAT YOU EVER TRIED!
'sworked well so far for me.Remember: however thin you slice something, there are always two sides to everything.0 -
