The wife got skin cancer and they cut it out and she was lucky enough not to need any more treatment just checks for two years at the hospital.

Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Thanks for all the replies folks, I just wanted to update to let you know that although the Dr didn't know what it was he was fairly sure it was nothing sinister, I have to go back next week to see a different GP for a 2nd opinion and then we'll take it from there.
