Cousin being made homeless, need advice for a letter!

Hello all,

I'm hoping o get some help for my cousin, she is currently living at home but due to a not so good relationship she has been asked/told to leave by the end of the month.

Her local council have agreed to help her find somewhere or at least go through various options available to her but she needs her parents to write a letter as proof of being kicked out, to take with her to the offices.

What exactly needs to be put in the letter?

Neither she or her parents know what needs to be included so I thought I'd ask here and see what is recommended.

As far as I know she needs a notice to quit from her parents i.e that due to irreconcilable differences she is required leave the property with her belongings within 14 days or something of that order.

how old is she? does she know that she could end up in a hostel or B&B?

Is there anything like Social Services involvement which could be used to back up the claim of estrangement?

She's 17 in a few weeks, yes she was told she could end up in a B&B or hostel anywhere within 25 miles of the area she lives in.

I don't know if there's ever been any SS involvement that could back things up, I'll be speaking to her later so I could try and find out.
