EDF Energy Fixed Price 2014 tariff

A few weeks ago I received an Annual Energy statement from EDF. This states under my tariff details that an exit fee of £15 is payable for each fuel. The booklet I received when signing up to the EDF plan clearly states in 3 different places (pages 9, 10 and 11) that no early termination fee is payable if you withdraw between 1 April 2013 and 31 March 2014. Are EDF just trying it on to retain customers or have I misunderstood the booklet?

I know there isn't a cheaper tariff at the moment but had been thinking of looking for a longer fix to get in before the no doubt inevitable winter price rises!

I received my annual statement today, dated 2 Sep.
It stated exit fees "£0".
And yes when I signed up to this tariff I remember that the exit fees reduced over time and became zero after April 2013.
