To be fair to MSE, they have always be open about how the site is financed, and they even written a big long article about cashback sites: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback-websites
Not only that, they also provide a cashback sites maximiser application (though this currently only finds Santander 123 at TCB).
So those who have the time and inclination to find out about these things can find the deals that work in their own interest. A huge number of people probably don't know, or can't be bothered to find out.0 -
I've applied for a 2nd a/c through quidco and just wont sign when I get the papers for the first one, phew.
I've opened 4 Santander 123 accounts recently and I have not needed to sign papers for an account.
As to Quidco/Topcashback, the cashback is only available to those people who switch from another bank. You will not get the cashback by simply opening an account.0
