They may well want a signed and witnessed lease, but on what? There are plenty of business centres across the UK that will let out anything from huge production floor space down to a letterbox address. All will have their own unique address and they are unlikely to come around making sure your shop windows are clean.0

it has to be classed as a shop, has to allow customers to enter through a "door" unrestricted within usual operating hours. It's all a bit daft really. I'm going to bide my time as I really think they'll lose too much money and the shareholders will swap the terms back pretty sharpish0 -
Must be plenty of Hairdressers/Pet Shops with Class A1 use in your area that would allow you to "share" the address for a small consideration.0

Some higher end, branded manufacturers will only allow their goods to be sold through stores where their customers can receive good customer service.
If you don't meet the criteria, then they won't sell to you.
I don't think those manufacturers of the games you speak of will allow you to sell them from a hairdressers.
Actually it's probably more to do with the whole set up, how long you've been established, what other goods you sell. what other stores in the region stock that suppliers goods, etc.0 -
yeah it's pretty cut and dry, it's a no unless I have an actual shop.
it's tabletop wargames, which is a craft hobby so they like people to be able to go into the shop and interract as part of the hobby. I've played the games for years so I do understand their standpoint and accept it
plus i'm a new startup so hardly in any position to ask for special case treatment, maybe when I turnover a few million a year I can change a bit
lol (if only) 0 -
If it's Mojang, don't be too much of a fan and become one of their unpaid marketeers, keep a spread of business interests and never, ever let the tail start wagging the dog.0

good advice

no it's games workshop (warhammer) but there seems to be a trend of annoyed customers looking for new games to play so i'm hoping to cash in on changing interests with my other offerings0
