One 3 month stint I don't think is so bad (if the rest of your CV has a few more substantial roles) - just be honest and say the job didn't match the description and it wasn't for me.Yes Your Dukeiness

You can still apply for jobs and see what other employers think? Some might see it as an issue, others won't. Use holidays to attend interviews.
Short stints are becoming more and more common.0 -
In my experience, most jobs are mis-sold.
As for milk powder... you're lucky they provided anything, many don't. I had one for 15 months where the only water was from a grubby sink in a loo that was never cleaned ... and the kettle was perched on top of a fridge (containing the boss' frriends' dog food) while a slightly melted/brown extension lead sitting on the floor was powering them both.0 -
I am intrigued as to what powdered milk has to do with anything, or is it some sort of "in" code that I am too old to be aware of?0

If you dislike powdered milk, maybe take in your own each day? Does this company provide tea and coffee free of charge? Why should they?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

where I have previously been there has always been a supply of proper tea and coffee making facilities, I just think its poor not to provide the basics, but ignoring the milk comments, thanks for the advice!!0

I was mis-sold a job in the past and stayed there for 4 months before moving on.
Not one employer since then has held it against me - I am honest to them and tell them the job was mis-sold. If anything, they see it as a positive, that I will not accept something that does not live up to my expectations.0 -

The basics are a safe working environment and a salary, not a beverage allowance.0 -
Hi Frances,
I understand completely what you are saying as I had a similar experience.
I knew on the first day - was told I couldn't park in the car park, didn't have a desk, wasn't told what to do or where things were etc. (these might sound mnor to many people posting here, but they just added to my gut feel about the job and the company).
I eventually left but had a very miserable few months.
As you have only been there for 3 weeks, can you go back to your old job ?
Did you have any other applications on the go at the time that might turn into another job offer ?
Are you financially able to leave the current job to concentrate on finding another as soon as possible ?0
