Credit file association

Hi Guys,
I have recently moved into a new house, so i have been ringing up the various utility companies to open new accounts. the problem is that the account from which the money will be taken is in my partners name.
He is now worried that as the utlitiy account is in my name and the bank account is in his that we will be financially linked on his credit file (i don't have the best credit history so I can see his worry!). Would this be the case? Or is it only if you have jopint bank accounts that you are financially linked?
Thanks
Rochelle

Joint credit accounts (ie current account, mortgage, loan, BNPL, etc) create financial associations.
I can't imagine the utility companies will create an association, even though you will be obtaining goods and services on credit. However, perhaps you should check the providers' T&Cs...specifically their privacy policies.
If they're struggling to claim payment from his account (for whatever reason) they'll simply invoice you, the account holder.0
