Planned Lloyds TSB Outage

We'll be carrying out some planned system work which means some services won't be available from 1pm Saturday 7 September until 10am Sunday 8 September.

During this period:
From 1pm:
- It won't be possible to apply for new accounts, upgrades or loans on this site.

From 11pm:
- Internet Banking won't be available
- Telephone Banking will be operating a restricted service.

We're letting you know to help you manage your banking around the work.

Other services will continue as usual:
- Your Debit and Credit Cards will continue to work as normal
- You'll still be able to withdraw cash at our ATMs.

We're sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

It's probably connected with the launch of TSB as a separate bank which takes place on the Monday, 9 September.

I guess its to rebrand to Lloyds Bank, or get it ready so they can just flick a switch.

According to the Telegraph last week this closure affects all Lloyds Banking Group companies, ie HBOS as well.

I've had this on all my HBOS and Lloyds TSB internet banking login's.

Its to do with the fact that TSB launches on the 9th of September, so from the early hours of Sunday / Monday morning they are going to be separating those accounts that are moving from Lloyds to TSB.

They have from what I hear been doing dummy tests over the last few months to make sure the move from the Lloyds system to the TSB one for those that are being transferred, works without any interruption.

It has been successful every time they have done it so far, though there not expecting it to go wrong when it happens officially in the early hours of Monday morning.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

Being a belt and braces sort of person, I'd conduct any transactions on Saturday, not that I'm expecting anything to go wrong.

Cannot get logged on to either LLoydsTSB or Halifax this morning.

Same message on both sites: ( only tried to log in once on each site)

Unlocking doesn't help. Someone's been messing with their logon system in the last hour.

I also had a letter regarding the outage and it suggests making a note of your login ID as when the websites change they will no longer be stored.
