Im wondering if anyone has had dealings with Imperial Travel Direct (Reading)before?
My brother and his newly pregnant girlfriend went on a holiday last week booked via Imperial Travel Direct.
The nightmare started when they arrived at the resort hotel and found the room full of mould. We just found out that the room pictures they were using to advertising for the hotel are actually for a much more expensive hotel down the road. They have been trying to speak to the agents to get this resolved but keep getting the "no one is available" response from the switchboard receptionist.
Today my brothers girlfriend was rushed to hospital and the doctors said its directly caused by the room they have been in.
I've contacted the airline and they are asking for an extra £500 to move the flights so they can come home early.
I phoned Imperial Travel Direct to discuss this and was told that no one was available - i called four times throughout the day, i explained everything to the receptionist what had happened and he said "well thats not my problem is it" - i asked for the directors and he said they weren't available - i then said my next call would be to a journalist and he replied "like i care, that doesn't scare me" to which i just terminated the call.
I've been searching around for a website for these cowboys but i cant seem to find anything.
Can anyone give me some more insight into this company? Has anyone else had any problems with them?
Any advice, help or information really would be appreciated!

Eh? what country are they in? sounds like this is a 'lost in translation' case. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Have they complained to the hotel and asked to move rooms? Have they spoken to their holiday insurer about wanting to come home early for medical reasons?Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

A review search shows 183 bad reviews but despite this they appear to have survived 13 years and are members of ABTA. If they refuse to speak to you, contact ABTA consumer affairs department 020 3117 0599 and explain the problems your brother is currently having. If there is a need to come home, it is an insurance claim, they do have insurance don't they?0
