  • Azatom UFO on Amazon. Have a look at the reviews. I bought it direct from the manufacturer as it was a bit cheaper. The plus with this is you can charge it using the mains and not just through usb on computer as most others seem to do. The battery also lasts a long time 6 hours. Sound quality is good. I have mine paired to a Samsung Note 2. Very easy to pair up.

I bought a Jam Wirelesss speaker:

4 hours when wirelessly connected to your Bluetooth device, or up to 12 hours when using a wired connection via its stereo minijack connection

    Currently £25 @ Amazon

  • I've been really impressed with the UK Boom - a bit pricey at the RRP of £179, but picked two up for £99 each as they can be paired for stereo. Battery life is quoted at 15hrs and they will do at least that, take up very little surface space and are water resistant. Most of all, they sound really, really good.

I have got a nice looking and sounding Denon mini system from the 1990s. Nobody really wanted it anymore. I tried streaming music from a Netgear MP101 but not great. Then I got the logitech bluetooth adapter. It's used all the time now. My daughter loves it. Sits in the corner of her bedroom while she plays music from her phone. There must be some fantastic old amplifiers and speakers on ebay that can be transformed by this little device.
