Seems the new tower block called the Walkie Talkie is melting peoples plastic bits, it concentrates the suns rays into a mega blaster.

The car not been burnt its just warped it's properly just focus enough heat to warp the panel over a few hours I suspect it never got hot enough to burn any one.
As it says in the article they've closes the effected spots.0
