Hi everyone,
I recieved my book today to fill in for the PIP claim, it is a book 36 pages. Going to get some help to fill this in I think.
Also when it says send any evidence you have what would this be? I have a sick note but thats to be sent for my ESA claim, would it be worth getting anything from my doctor?
Still waiting for my ESA information.
Thank you
Angela

I would get the Cab to help you with this, if you have sick lines, letters of support from any medical professional like an OT, Nurse, Your doctor.
The more evidence and support you supply the better you will get on, and this will support you if they call you in for a medical.

You can send in a prescription list (the one you'd hand in for getting repeats), sick notes, a letter from your GP or anyone involved in your care ie CPN, Occupational Therapists etc0

Evidence is anything the decision maker would find helpful in determining if you pass or fail the various tests for PIP, from whatever source.
This can be from professionals - ideally - or from someone that sees you frequently, or who cares for you.
However, they have a limited time - so try and keep it short and to the point - a pile of paper a meter tall is not going to get read.
A diary of your problems with mobility and care needs over a week may be useful.0 -
If you're in an ATOS area then don't expect a quick process. Even after you've had an assessment it is currently taking ATOS between 12 and 14 weeks just to submit the report to DWP !Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0

Thank you for all the advice I will send them the repeat prescription I have at the moment then, and a diary of help my need.
Also I am not sure how to fill in forms because it says like what help you need, this varies a lot for me, if the weather is cold then I can hardly move but like now in the summer its not as bad, still need help with shopping, cooking etc though.Went Bankrupt on 24th July 20130 -
If you have a condition that varies you will need to choose descriptor in each question that applies to you more of the time. If 2 apply equally then choose the one that is more severe. Be careful of the language you use. Don't use things like good days and bad days, instead use typical days and better days. Remember that it asks about your ability to do tasks without discomfort. Discomfort is not the same as pain, so it may be that something is not severely painful, but the discomfort level is high. Have a look at this guide, it's for people with Crohns and colitis but coud be helpful to anyone filing in he pip form
