The fact Apple replaced the last goes in your favour imo.
Make sure they are made aware of it when you book your appointment.0

I do hope you are right. All other things aside I can't afford to just walk away from £500 after such a short time. I work part time, this was a big treat to myself after finishing cancer treatment, we're talking nearly a month's wages. I can't smile & write it off or just magic up several hundred to buy even a discounted new one.
I'm also lost without my iPad. My daughter laughingly said today 'you've lost your best friend, Mum'.0

£500? If money is short we're you not tempted to buy the £400 one? It seems a luxury to buy the more expensive version if £500 is a months wage!
Dont worry. You'll get it sorted. Apple are very good.0

It's a month's wage now. I don't really feel I need to get into how I afforded it 2 years ago?!! As I said. Huge luxury treat after a year of cancer treatment. Seriously never expected it to bite me on the bum twice in 2 years. 0 0

In fairness you brought it up.0

In fairness, in response to my previous poster, not to you. You chose to pass judgement and query my purchasing choices and related finances 2 years ago. Things change.
Thanks though, I appreciate your input.0

Thank you to those of you who took the trouble to reply. I received a call this morning from the reseller - Stormfront - to say they had checked my ipad at Head Office and there is an irrevocable fault. They forwarded the EU claim form to Apple.
5 hours later they called me again to say Apple have agreed to replace with a free refurb machine which I should be receiving by the end of the week.
I'm a happy bunny, so thanks to Apple and thanks to Comeg at Stormfront's Head Office for their help and thank you for you helpful advice. 0 0

Glad to hear it went well. I hope your health improves One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Another vote of thanks for Stormfront from me, they fixed my Macbook when it was 4 years old for free! I didn't even buy it from them.0
