Heard Nothing?

What would happen if you hadn't heard anything regarding your ESA50 reassessment and you had come to the end of your current award time, would you continue to get paid until a new decision was made even tough it had gone over your previous award duration?

ESA is not a fixed-term award, unlike DLA. Payment will continue until a new decision is made.

You will continue to get your money unless it's over a year and you are receiving contribution based and it's not support group.

When you say previous award duration do you mean when they say you will be assessed after x period of time? If so that's only a guide and your benefit won't automatically stop.

    Thanks.

I was under the impression that ESA awards were made for a fixed term ranging from a few months to 3 years max whereupon you were reassessed via the issuing of another ESA50 just prior to your current award coming to an end.

So the question is if e.g. you were initially awarded the SG for 18 months and were sent another ESA50 just prior to the 18months coming to an end what would happen if you still hadn't heard anything after your initial 18months were up?
