Shortcut to a Folder?

Hi All,

I have a folder saved within an obscure area of my Q drive (work related), however I want to make a shortcut to this folder from my Desktop - is this possible and if so how?

    Right click on the folder - send to -- make a shortcut on desktop

    Go into Windows Explorer, find the folder, right-click on it and choose "Make shortcut here", then cut and past (or move) it to the desktop. Rename the shortcut to suit your taste. Double-clicking on it will open it in Windows Explorer. Right-clicking on the shortcut and selecting Properties will show you how it's done!

    Other ways are possible...
