    Totally understand about the feelings you extend towards your pet, and the bereavement feelings too :( I adored my cats completely, and just as you say, people would ask me about them the same way that they'd ask other people about their kids.

    But when the time came that the vet couldn't do anything, and their suffering became too much, I arranged their endings, as peacefully as possible. It's all we can do at that stage. Just take care of both you and your lovely dog.
