I have friends in London I haven't seen at all this year so all I need to do now is find a cheap train ticket and get my hotel stay booked - it will be a nice break away from the PhD :-)

The hotel was lovely, the breakfast was fantastic and I can highly recommend their current christmas afternoon tea :-) There's no way I could have afforded that alone so the overnight stay thrown in was a huge bonus. I think they have a comp at the mo for christmas afternoon tea so I'll see if it's been posted yet in the comps forum.
