Please Help, Parking Ticket?

Today me and two collegues pulled up outside an area where we had to visit a few customers. We did not notice that this was a permit only parking area and when we came back after just 10 minutes we all 3 had parking tickets on the window. The only difference was that mine didn't have the ticket in the pouch, now i don't know what to do. I tried looking for a phone number on my collegues ticket but there isn't one only an address to send a cheque to.
It says on theirs to pay it within 28 days or the fine will go from £30 to £60 but how do i do this without a ticket? Do i just wait and see but if i had the ticket i'd just pay it as obviously i was in the wrong even though the permit only parking sign was in a strange place not exactly noticable!
Any help would be great, thanks.

Could write to the address supplied on your collegues fines?
You have 28 days to do it, a letter and reply should be able to be organised in that space of time.0 -
If you didn't have a ticket in the pouch then it wasn't issued. If you get a Notice to Owner in the post then reply with an informal representation that you didn't receive a ticket, and that you have two colleagues who can confirm this. You can then make a formal representation and go to the adjudicator.
As for your colleague's tickets, they could scan them and post on the parking forums at http://forums.pepipoo.com/ to see if there are any flaws in the ticket's wording/construction.0 -
