Transferring an MP3 to my Blackberry?

I'm having trouble transferring an MP3 to my Blackberry phone.
Not sure what I am doing wrong but when I plug my BB to my PC it recognises it as a removable drive but when I drag the MP3 to the drive it always asks if I want to format it which I dont as I have other MP3's already on it.
I've tried removing the micro sd card from my phone, inserting it into a carrier and trying it that way but I get the error 'please insert disk'..
A bit confused-can anyone help?
Thanks as usual

what blackberry is it ?
also have you tried using Blackberry Link to transfer instead ?
it could be that the driver showing up is the sd card slot of the blackberry.
it would depend on the settings of the phone0 -
Try download a program available on the blackberry website unfortunately I cant link as I'm still new. You usually get a disk with your blackberry as they have their own software for moving music and pictures between PC and phone, I'm not sure if this will solve the issue but its something you should have a go at.0
