I have recently repaired my Acer Aspire 1315LT giving it a new DC socket after power failure. Now when it powers up, fan runs and screen displays for a few seconds and then it shuts down. With the HDD in I get a message before the shutdown that Windows (XP) hasn't loaded and when I go into BIOS can't view it long enough to make changes like change boot order. Have tried it with battery in and out but makes no difference.
Named after my cat, picture coming shortly
