Getting rid of waste - fat, waste meat etc

Not being meat eaters we don't have meat fat/lard to get rid of, but I do save up oil that can't be strained and used again to make into candles. Found a very clever product that's a scented powder - added to warm oil and poured into a small glass with a wick, it sets and burns beautifully. I'd love to know what exactly it is, but it's patent protected and the manufacturer gives nothing away! Product is called 'Candle Powder' and I've bought it from a company called 'The Glow Company'.0

Rather than replying individually to everyone - i'll just say thanks to you all. You've all been a help.0

In hot weather and if you're concerned about smells (especially if bins are only emptied fortnightly) you can put food waste in a box or bag in your freezer, and put the lot into your bin just before it is emptied.
But making sure your bin bags are tied up will be sufficient in most circumstances. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
