ugh - I hate selling stuff on ebay sometimes. Sold some vouchers which ended on Sun aft, posted on Monday aft as wanted to get proof I posted them and I've had an e-mail whinging they aren't here yet. Honestly. They went 2nd class which was what I said I'd send them as, what does she want? blood? I used to sell quite a lot a while ago, but it got soul destroying after a bit. Never had a problem like this though, wish I hadn't already left her positive feedback. Hope I don't get a negDebts - [STRIKE]£9925.64[/STRIKE] £8841.88 :T Aiming to get below £9k by the end of Oct.

Hiya everyone glad to hear d=from ya all!! Dr Hook and Jo would ya mind mentoring me too?? lol. I just want to make about £50 and think Ill leave it with that!!
Dr Hook I would most definatly phone them, be nice but firm with them. dont tell them u dont want to go to court but say U are willing to have the full amount without interest, thats what I did with halifax and eventually just knocked off £50 off the full amount!! yay. u can do it what harm will it do even if u agree on £200 or 250 its still more!! say ur willing to not ask for interest and it shows ur a little flexible that way they can get rid of ya quick with paying the WHOLE amount?? thats only my opinion hope u get thru xxCDxxTotal debt £17,135 total paid off £5250 -
hi all
Dr Hook, no dont accept it. they owe you way more than that and they know it. Barclaycard drive a hard bargain, Ive had complaints upheld by the ICo on them and im waiting a payout myself.
they actually paid 35 quid ( jokers) to a closed barclaycard and sent ti to my old address. :wall: I dont care im not accepting anything apart from all of it back. theyve had profit out of me over the years so tough, ill stand firm till they give it me back. Its not like its even loads , think its abput 400 with interest, but 35 quid is a pi55take, it cost me more than that for the court fee so they can do one.
Wicked how everyone doing - 10p listing day today as well , so will be doing a bit more tonight.
I have to fill out my return for the 2nd job TODAY, I have to.
Finding life v overwhelming at the moment, im just trying to keep it all together and going. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Hi all!
Thanks for all the advice - I'm gonna give Barclays a call on my lunch break today and see if they're willing to budge at all on their offer. If not, I think I'm just gonna take the £170 anyway, a bird in the hand etc, etc.
Jo, I know exactly how you feel - I first stumbled across this forum while looking into reclaiming bank charges & opened a parachute account as recommended with A&L. Then I started reading and posting on here and discovered the joys of Quidco - and subsequently realised that I missed out on £50 cashback from A&L
Was kicking myself for weeks afterwards. :rolleyes2Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW Nerd #4910 -
I did the A&L account through Quidco back in May, it's still tracking!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

The A&L thing seems like a pain in the !!!!!, esp as you have to pay £500 into it, and then wait for it to track!"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

Oh......that would explain why it's still tracking then
Looks like I'm gonna have to take £50 off my Quidco/Challenge totalDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Well I spoke to Barclays - they were very nice and polite about it but the message was that this is a one-time only deal, either accept it or we're going to court. So I've decided to cash in my chips and take it.
If I was claiming 10, or even 5, times the amount I would've pressed on and started a court claim, but I'm happy enough to come away with £170 for writing a couple of letters.
Off to update my sig now (don't worry - I haven't forgotten the rules Dezzi, I'll add it next to my challenge total)
Thanks again for the help & advice folks :beer:Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW Nerd #4910 -

I think if you pay £500 into it, it might trigger it. Speak to the ppl who have done it, they'd know."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0
