My bank charges offered me £289 out of £710 claim,, what should I do?? xx please help I dont want to lose money x

Which bank? There is a thread for practically every different bank/company on the reclaiming your bank charges board. If its the halifax, ring the 01977 no on the 'halifax insider hints' thread over there and speak to the wonderful Graham who will help you come to a figure mutually acceptable (in your case...all of it!), that's what I did, they offered me £1,319 but I refused and said I wanted £2,600 (£19 off the amount claimed) and after a 30 second phone call he agreed!

Thanks guys! Im dead happy, when they used to charge me £90 in three days when I was a student and used to be almost depressive so to have it back is an achievement!! Im going to spend it on my credit card so hopefully that will kick it down to about £2000 interest starts fully on 23rd July so need to get rid asap!! somethings gone right twice in one month,,,, pinch me if im dreaming :)
